The MAC (OS X) app provides an easy method to self-screen against postpartum depression.
Postpartum depression (PPD) is the most common complication of childbearing. The 10-question Edinburgh Postnatal Depression
Scale (EPDS) is a valuable and efficient way of identifying patients at risk for postpartum depression. The EPDS self-screening test
is easy to administer and has proven to be an effective screening tool for PPD. As an screening tool, patients can perform the test
at the privacy of their home or doctors can give the test to patients while they can attend another patient.
